I’m so excited to share a little peek into Lauren & Mitchell’s wedding! I got to know Lauren my sophomore year in college and immediately fell in love with her fiery red hair, generous spirit, and love of life. I don’t think that Lauren has ever met a stranger and makes everyone feel at home. When she first told me about Mitchell, I could tell it was the real deal. He is so supportive of her and caring and I love that they can spend all day fishing together.
Lauren added so many personal touches into her wedding. She pinned her grandma’s brooch onto her bridal bouquet. She spent so much time and talent making all the signs and place cards for at the wedding and she even made the cupcakes! But my favorite part was the scrapbook that she made for her parents! It brought everyone to tears.
We prayed and prayed the weeks before the wedding for good weather. The day started off well enough and the forecast looked better every hour that we checked. But somehow, five minutes before the ceremony the heavens opened up into a downpour. Poor Lauren and her dad were still outside the barn awaiting their turn to walk down the aisle. Where most brides would be super upset and disappointed, Lauren didn’t let the rain get to her! She walked down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face while completely drenched from head to toe. And at the reception, we were given a beautiful double rainbow!
